What kind of quest is right for me?

While all quests can help all adventurers, there are paths that may be more immediately beneficial for a particular person.  This is because what we need to change or improve on, in order to reduce pain or improve our ability to move and the way we interact with the world, is based around how we use ourselves now and how we used ourselves in the past.  It shouldn't be surprising to learn that this is dependent upon your adventurer's "class" (trade/profession/education/etc), as well as your "background" (social upbringing, learned behaviours from family, hobbies, etc).

For example, construction workers have different demands on their bodies than teachers or dancers or nurses or servers. At the same time, golfers, bowlers, swimmers, also have different demands on their bodies.  Some children never crawl.  They go straight to walking.  While that seems impressive to parents, there are fundamental movements that are learned through crawling.  So, someone who never crawled as a child, may not have those movements strongly ingrained in their nervous system. This then can limit the choices that child may have for movements later in life.

Let's look at some occupations and how certain quests may provide more immediate benefit to the worker.

  • Customer Service Worker?  Experiencing foot pain, hand pain, joint pain?

    • You might benefit from quests that deal with flexion and side-bending.

  • Trades-person?  Experiencing back pain, hip pain, knee pain?

    • You might benefit from quests that explore extension and connection of head to hips.

  • Computer Worker?  Experiencing pain in the shoulders and strain in the eyes?

    • You might benefit from quests that coordinate the eyes and explore flexion.
